Growing Season
We are in the kid-growing season around here, and plants sometimes find our home to be a difficult place to survive, but this week the girls and I were proud to discover a red tomato on our plant in the backyard. Apparently, pride can even make a kid's otherwise stubborn tastebuds find pleasure in a homegrown tomato!

LOVE THIS! I cannot wait until CJ is old enough to garden with me. I think it can create such a healthy perspective on food for kids - where the food comes from, what is good for our bodies, and of course their pride in what they grow might make them more experimental on the eating vegetables without a bucket of cheese side of things!
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice looking tomato.
