Things That Go Bump in the Night
No, I'm not thinking about "goulies and ghosties and long-leggedy beasties" that we all know go bump in the night. I'm talking about Abby. Just as Jake was turning in for the night last night, he heard a bump or, perhaps, a thud coming from Abby's room. As he opened the door to her room, she began to cry. Disoriented and gathering herself up off the floor beside her bed, she rubbed her head and told Daddy that "she bumped her head on the floor." She did indeed fall out of her big girl bed. It's one of those things that Mommies think might happen, but for some reason, never seem to. Well, it did. Perhaps, we will put the safety net back on tonight... then again, she lived through the fall and I'm sure she would again. Character building, right? Plus, it gives her something to tell the cashier at the grocery store and the waitress at the restaurant... she always loves some good material for her stories.

ReplyDeleteAw, poor baby. I hope her headbump feels better soon and she still loves her big girl bed. Aunt Missa has some really good stories to share, I'm sure of it.
ReplyDelete(speaking of, Aunt Missa, I never knew that happened to you! were you okay?)
